Day 1 - Friday
Meet up at the Odyssey Campers Office in Thessaloniki to pick up the campers. Departure in the afternoon at 16:00 for the Prespa National Park, via the Egnatia Highway to Kastoria. Then, we will take the provincial road from Kastoria to Florina, and in 30 minutes, we will reach the Prespa Lakes basin, specifically the picturesque fishing village of Psarades. The total duration of the route is about 3 hours.

Day 2 - Saturday
VISIT TO THE BYZANTINE HERMITAGES - From here, we will start a journey on the lake, using the boats of the local fishermen, with the destination being the Byzantine hermitage of Panagia Eleousa, which was built in the 15th century. During the journey, we will also see other hermitages and rock carvings. KOKKALI CAVE - In 1949, the Prespa region witnessed the final act of the tragic civil war that divided Greece. The traces of the Democratic Army of Greece (DSE) guerrillas in the area are still visible. On this excursion, we will follow these traces to visit the cave of Doctor Kokkali, which was used as a DSE hospital, near the village of Vrontero.
Hermitages and rock carvings
Day 3 - Sunday
AGIOS ACHILLEIOS – Agios Achilleios is a small island in the heart of the hydrobiotope in Mikri Prespa. It is connected to the mainland by a floating pedestrian bridge, 600 meters long. We will take a tour around the island, admire the unique natural beauty, visit the ruins of the Basilica church built by Samuel II, the “Tsar of the Bulgarians,” and learn about the ancient city of Lyka and the island’s myth. MIKROLIMNI – Mikrolimni is a picturesque fishing village on the shores of Mikri Prespa and one of the most beautiful corners of the region. Our route to the village will be on rural roads, passing through the famous bean fields of Prespa. KAYAKING FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 to 1.5 HOURS – Difficulty 2/5 – Easy Return to Thessaloniki for the camper drop-off at Odyssey Campers’ office.
